Time plays a full part in the creative process of these pieces, which is a long-term process. It is literally embodied by the drawing itself, a single line unrolled by Laurent Nicolas and which crosses over itself. This line of time gives rhythm to the whole piece and allows us to visualize the path of the tool used. Time, in its duration, is indeed there, inseparable from a process whose beginning and end cannot be perceived.
